Designing calm interfaces
Calm interfaces rarely happen by accident. They come from careful hierarchy, restrained color, and enough empty space for the content to breathe.
The first principle is focus. Each screen should have one obvious place to start and one clear next step. When everything competes for attention, the experience becomes noisy.
The second principle is softness. Gentle contrast, spacious layouts, and rounded surfaces can make a page feel inviting without sacrificing clarity or structure.
The third principle is rhythm. Good typography creates a steady pace for reading, helping longer pieces feel effortless instead of dense.
